New Zealand’s great outdoors needs to be experienced. Building on the desire to enjoy everything our majestic country has to offer – whether fishing, hunting, camping or exploring - the idea to develop a range of hybrid campers, capable of handling
New Zealand’s unique environment, was born.

The Kaweka Forest Park was where the idea began, and the Kaweka Ranges inspired our company name. The first of our designs is the Spot X, a term used for a favourite hunting, fishing or camping spot. As the adventure grew, so did our range of campers, that now includes the Cascade, Cascade Plus, Comet and the Cathedral - all names inspired by huts and ridges within the Kaweka Ranges.
Seeing first-hand the quality of the Kaweka Campers, that enable you to stay in comfort at your “Spot X”, we knew we had found a product we would be proud to share with others.
Our priority is to ensure that our supply partners are fully aligned with our concept and values. We aim to provide you, our customer, an off-road adventure product that you can take anywhere in New Zealand, and that you would be happy to recommend to others.
We are a 100% Kiwi owned and operated family business. From your initial viewing to purchase, including all on-going advice and product support, you will deal directly with us.

We decided it was time to upgrade from a tent after 50 years of camping, and we wanted to choose between a caravan or a motorhome. At the outdoor expo in Christchurch, we found the Kaweka Cascade Plus camper, and it was the perfect choice for us. It's ideal for our off-road camping adventures, and we can tow it effortlessly with my Mazda BT50—no road wobble even at 100 km/h. It handled 70km of rough, rutted roads with ease, and the Cruisemaster hitch worked wonders. We love the quick and easy setup, the bed is comfortable, and the cooking facilities are great, with plenty of storage space. We’ve been really impressed with both the camper and the support from the Kaweka Team.

Plenty of room inside made of solid and quality materials, the Spot X can go on gentle offroad tracks or even on wild adventures. Bought our Kaweka in May 2021 after searching for a very long time for just the right one. Very impressed with the Spot X from the outset and it offered exactly what we wanted. Added a few extra home comforts and off we went. It’s a real head turner and wherever you go/stay ( and even parked at home) people are always coming over to look at and discuss it. We’ve had a few short trips away so far ( one in torrential rain and the Kaweka did us proud) but our big one is still ahead of us when we head to the South Island soon and are planning on staying off-grid as much as possible with the Catlins being our ultimate destination. The level of service has been outstanding and when we couldn’t figure something out on our first trip away, a quick call and all was resolved. Extremely happy with our purchase.
